ALPHA INDUSTRIES COLLABORATION Vol.3 | beautiful people

The mod coat is the 3rd collaboration with the military manufacturer “ALPHA INDUSTRIES”, which was founded in the USA in 1959 and has a long history as an American military supply manufacturer and boasts a cumulative delivery record of over 40 million MA-1 and M-65 items, and beautiful people, which focuses on authentic craftsmanship.

Inspired by four pieces of vintage military wear. The coat incorporates the “DOUBLE-END” pattern desi concept, in which new functions and forms are created by turning the top and bottom of the coat upside down, and is a surprising 4-way specification. For this season, the Mod’s coat changed the color to a more stylish and unisex tone – black x charcoal.

Made from ALPHA cotton-nylon poplin used for M-65 coats and cargo trousers. It is not only extremely lightweight, quick-drying and functional but also highly durable, having been tailored at the ALPHA sewing factory, which has been manufacturing military items for many years.

ALPHA’s craftsmanship backed by a long history and pattern techniques unique to beautiful people coexists in this one-of-a-kind item.

4-way design with DOUBLE-END pattern

The collaboration jacket can be worn with different military designs on each of the four sides – upside down and inside out.

If the B-43 Heavy Flight Jacket is worn inside-out, it becomes an M-65 Extreme Cold Weather Coat. When reversed, it turns into an AL-1 Heavy Flight Jacket. Worn upside down, it becomes a charcoal coloured M-65 field jacket.

A field jacket and cold-weather coat used by the US Army, a flight jacket used by the US Air Force and other military items that were useful in different environments are combined in one garment. Each side represents a different kind of military, the border is meaningless.

This collaboration is an item that is not bound by preconceived notions of clothing, as you can enjoy not only the changes in design but also the two different silhouettes – the oversized middle coat and the wide short jacket.

Attention to small details

The zipper is a reprinted version based on a vintage zip fastener manufactured by UNIVERSAL in the USA in the 1940s and 1950s, and it has an old-American look and feel. A leather patch is used for the pull on one side of the reversible zipper, and the buttons are made of rubber-coated buttons with the beautiful people brand logo. The bag is packed with the playful spirit of beautiful people and the dedication to craftsmanship.
